Delivered this morning

Today's lunch depends on what came through the door this morning.

Arabella's is a small eatery at 35 High Street, Brecon. Brunch runs all day; lunch is seasonal, made from whatever the greengrocer, butcher or fishmonger delivered that morning — or the local growers.

A full breakfast on a round plate: two fried eggs, sausage, bacon, roast potatoes, tomato, mushrooms, toast and a pot of beans

Farm to fork, from a farming family

Chef Josie Thompson grew up in the farming community of mid Wales, eating home-grown fruit and veg. She trained at Westminster Kingsway in London, then cooked in Michelin-starred restaurants, butcheries and ski chalets.

She opened the eatery on Brecon's High Street in September 2022, to bring seasonal, local food into town.
